Summer sculls event
On Friday the 19th of June we had a time trial on the marina between the Cork city clubs. Cork Boat Club was well represented with 50 entries between the different categories. Over 140+ people raced in total and it was great to see everyone out enjoying themselves.

Covid 19 Update – Staged return to rowing
Cork Boat Club’s reopening phases(below) have been created in line with the government & Rowing Ireland phased approach. Thank you for your patience during this trying time. We hope to see you all back on the water soon!
Gov phase 1 – May 18th – Sculling & pairs (from the same household)
- 18th – 24th of May
- Senior men’s squad – up to 16 athletes
- 25th – 31st of May
- Senior women squad & junior women’s 16s/18s squad – up to 16 athletes
- Competent masters scullers & private boat owners
- 1st – 7th of June
- Junior men’s 6 day squad
Only up to 4 athletes arriving & launching together while maintaining social distance during the specified session times. Arriving and launch at 15/20 minute intervals.
Gov phase 3 – June 29th – Sculling, pairs (from the same household)
Rest of the Men’s & Women’s junior squads return – j14/j15s as long as they are able/willing to scull
Gov phase 4 – July 20th – All boat types (If Gov/RowingIreland approved)
Masters rowing & big boat rowing resumes
Gov phase 5 – August 10th – All boat types (If Gov/RowingIreland approved)
Weights & ergs returned from club members
Clubhouse reopens for erg & weights – with proper cleaning & social distancing to be maintained
Beginner rowing camps resume

Covid-19 Update: 14th March 2020
Following further consultation with the committee and the coaches, the decision has been taken
to close Cork Boat Club until further notice.
There will be no training of any sort taking place at the club during this period.
